Swan Who's Who
Public Profile

I am a practical person. One thing at a time, step by step through life. I love all things nature. I see it as the only thing that connects our soul.
I practice Chi Gong, a oriental energetic martial art and meditation I have practiced and explored for many years.

Distinguished and Famous people from Swan
🎬 Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger's acting career had an early local stage at Guildford Grammar School, where he played Peter Pan in November 1992. The school's archive recalls enthusiastic young audiences calling advice to the performers, a rather different setting from the major film productions that followed. Ledger later appeared in 10 Things I Hate About You, Ned Kelly, Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight. His performance in the last of those earned a posthumous Academy Award. The Guildford school production supplies a specific glimpse of a young performer before international recognition, preserved in the records of the community that watched him take the stage.
🏡 Charles and Fanny Harper
Charles Harper bought land at Woodbridge in 1883 for a family home and agricultural enterprise including a dairy and orchard. He and Fanny moved into the completed house with their children in 1885. Charles combined farming with parliamentary service and newspaper ownership; in 1896 he opened a school in the billiard room for his ten children and those of neighbouring families. Fanny and two daughters continued living at Woodbridge after his death in 1912. The surviving house, with its jarrah staircase, decorative floors and original furniture, preserves a family setting that also became part of the district's educational history.
🏫 Sir Paul Hasluck
Paul Hasluck’s family moved to Guildford to make further education possible after his childhood at Collie. A scholarship took him to Perth Modern School, where literature and history became particular strengths. Newspaper work, university study and historical research followed before his diplomatic and political careers. He eventually served as governor-general, but continued to be known for writing and close attention to archives. Guildford belongs to a documented family move for education, a practical step in the preparation of a future public figure rather than a claim that his national appointments were carried out locally.
